Junior High students visited the Bill Mason Outdoor Education Centre as an extension of experiential education, Canadian history lessons and nature survival. Students took part in snowshoeing and fur trading activities, all while looking at the problems faced by early traders and trappers with indigenous tribes in early Canada.
Experiences like these are essential to the healthy development of each adolescent. They develop self-esteem, resilience, and problem solving skills.
