How to Apply
Selecting a school is one of the most important decisions you’ll make. Bishop Hamilton Montessori School looks forward to partnering with you every step of the way. Together we can unlock your child’s potential.

Admissions and Wait List
Admissions are processed in the following order:
- Current students
- Siblings of current students
- New students
We admit students throughout the school year if space is available. Once a space is offered, you must complete the Application for Enrolment and remit a non-refundable deposit of $1,200 to accept the space. The deposit will be applied toward your tuition fees.
There is no charge to be placed on our Waitlist, and no obligation to register for a spot should one be offered.
Bishop Hamilton Montessori School admits students of any economic and social class, racial and ethnic heritage, religious belief and family structure.

Enrolment and Placement
The admissions administrator will prepare your contract and Enrolment Package; the following documentation is required to complete your enrolment:
- Completed and Signed Application for Enrolment
- Signed Enrolment Contract
- Signed Parent / School Partnership Agreement
- Intake Interview
- Nutritional Regulations Form (0-6 years)
- Photocopy of Birth Certificate
- Photocopy of Health Card
- Photocopy of Record of Immunizations
- Recent Photograph
Students are placed in classes based on the following factors:
- Age of the student
- Ratio of boys to girls in the class
- Class vacancy
The decision for classroom placement is made by the admissions team comprised of the School Director and teaching staff.
Waitlist Policy
There is no charge to be placed on our Waitlist. There is no obligation to register for a spot should one be offered.
As spaces become available, we will contact families on our Waitlist. If you would like to accept the space, a non-refundable deposit of $1,200 is required. This deposit will be applied toward your tuition fees.
Families on the City of Ottawa’s Centralized Childcare Waitlist (CCWL) will be contacted in order of their priority on the CCWL.

Immunization Records
Ottawa Public Health requires that parents or guardians of children attending school in Ottawa provide the school with a complete record of their child’s immunization.
